Forestry Technology
本专业培养拥护党的基本路线，适应云南省热区林业资源的保护、开发、利用及林产品的加工生产管理等服务需要，具备从事林木工厂化育苗、工程造林、林产品加工、林业信息化对应的岗位（或岗位群）所需要的基本知识和实践技能，德、智、体、美全面发展的高素质技能型专门人才。本专业立足云南热区，面向南亚东南亚，与知名林业企业、事业单位合作育人。学科具有学士学位授予权利。
主干课程：植物学、植物生理学、树木识别、测量技术、森林环境技术、林业政策与法律法规、林木遗传育种、森林植物保护技术、森林调查技术、林木种苗生产技术、森林营造技术、林果产品贮藏与加工技术、地理信息系统、森林经营技术等课程。
就业方向：毕业生可在省地（市）县林业局、林业中心、林场、苗圃、园林公司、林业技术推广站、自然保护区、水土保持局（站）及环境保护局（站）等单位工作，亦可自主创业或从事相关工作。
This major cultivates highly qualified and skilled professionals who support the basic line of the Party, adapt to the needs of the protection, development, and utilization of forestry resources and the processing and production management of forest products in the hot zone of Yunnan Province, and have the basic knowledge and practical skills required for the positions (or groups of positions) corresponding to forest plantation, reforestation, forest products processing and forestry informatization, with comprehensive development of moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic qualities. The major is based on the hot area of Yunnan, facing South and Southeast Asia, and cooperating with famous forestry enterprises and institutions to educate people. The subject has the right to confer a bachelor's degree. Main courses: botany, plant physiology, tree identification, measurement technology, forest environment technology, forestry policy and laws and regulations, forest genetic breeding, forest plant protection technology, forest survey technology, forest seedling production technology, forest creation technology, forest fruit product storage and processing technology, geographic information system, forest management technology and other courses. Employment Direction Graduates can work in provincial (city) and county forestry bureaus, forestry centers, forest farms, nurseries, gardening companies, forestry technology promotion stations, nature reserves, soil and water conservation bureaus (stations), environmental protection bureaus (stations), or start their own businesses or engage in related work.
