This major cultivates high-quality composite application talents who can engage in food production, product development, quality control, management, technology promotion, engineering design, education teaching, scientific research in food production and management, food safety, and testing. Food Science and Engineering is the key construction major of our college. There are 10 full-time teachers, including 2 professors, 4 associate professors, and 4 lecturers, 8 with master's degrees and 2 with bachelor's degrees. The teaching system is complete, with 5 on-campus experimental training rooms and 3 off-campus internship bases, highlighting the applicability, skills, and integration of the major. The school is organized around developing the fruit and vegetable industry with special characteristics in the hot zone, and the professional industry has unique advantages and broad development prospects. Core courses: food technology, food analysis, food fermentation and brewing process, food safety, thesis design. Special elective courses: coffee processing, coffee review and inspection, coffee blending and coffee culture, tea art and tea culture, processing of tropical crop products, medicinal cuisine, etc. Career Direction: After graduation, students of this major can work in food production technology management, sales, quality control, product development, scientific research, engineering design, and other aspects.
